Rebecca Hurlburt
Board of Education 2011-2015
I have been on the CCS Board of Education for eight years and I am running
for a third four-year term. It takes years to feel confident and comfortable
making decisions for such an important Board, as one learns about the policies
and the budget. I have been the Chair for almost two years and I am sure that I
have dedicated enough of my time and energy to this Board to continue with
my work at CCS. I have served on three consecutive Search committees for our
principals, and I have worked through Teacher contract negotiations twice in my tenure.
Not to mention years of meetings, and time spent with the All Board Chairs committee.
The faculty, principal, students and parents at CCS know me, and I have worked many hours
with the Region One Central office.
I live in Cornwall Hollow with my husband, Bill, and our three children, Sam, Jake & Roxy.

Thomas Levine
Board of Education 2011-2015
Tom Levine is running for a second-term on the Cornwall Board of Education. He has a son, Jamie, who is in pre-school at the Cornwall Child Center and will be a member of next years CCS kindergarten class. Tom runs Longmeadow Farm in West Cornwall, a family farm which raises meat, poultry and vegetables. Tom has long been involved with CCS; prior to joining the Board of Education he worked as a substitute teacher at CCS for a number of years, and has known most of the students who have graduated from CCS in the past decade. Tom's additional education experience include 6 years as an adjunct faculty member at Vassar College, his alma mater, and a year of full-time teaching at the Washington Montessori School, at the middle school level. Tom is looking forward to an additional term on the Board and is extremely excited about the new leadership that Michael Croft has brought to CCS.

Jill Cutler
Planning and Zoning 2011-2017
Jill Cutler worked at Alfred A. Knopf Inc. in New York and then at Yale College.
She was Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs in Yale College, where she oversaw the
disciplinary process for all Yale College undergraduates. She came to Cornwall in 1974
as Jeremy Brecher’s guest, fell in love with the town, and has lived here part-time ever since.
She happily retired here last year and expects to spend the rest of her life in residence.
As a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission she hopes to participate in making
decisions that will preserve the rural character of Cornwall while making it possible
for young families to continue the traditions and life of the town.

John Miller
Planning and Zoning 2011-2017
I previously served one or two terms on the Zoning Board of Appeals and then one term on the Board of Assessment Appeals. Now a chance to run for Planning & Zoning and, if successful, the opportunity to strut around Cornwall as a VIP extraordinaire, a man of mounting self-importance. My qualifications: possessed of an aging mind with, at best, a 50-50 chance of serving out my term. Possessed of liberal attitudes but understanding certain limitations in small-town circumstances. Proud to be part of the Cornwall Bridge community where our future senior housing development will surely brighten our downtown look and atmosphere.
